Special Interest Sections are Institute-wide groups that bring together members with a shared area of interest. These groups are open to all members and work towards improving environmental practice through information sharing, the development of guidance documents, seminars, workshops, and other activities.
Special Interest Sections generally focus on emerging opportunities or issues that require a dedicated focus over a period of time rather than ongoing committee business.
The Institute currently has the following Special Interest Sections:
Special Interest Sections are approved by the Board in accordance with the Institute's By-Law 15.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
