AECOM are looking for a talented Senior Environmental Scientist to join their team of experts in Auckland and assist in the development of the ecological consulting business in the NZ market.

This role will involve freshwater and terrestrial ecological assessments and fauna survey experience as well as the opportunity to grow our client base and develop AECOM's specialist ecological practice offering.

Day to day, you will be responsible for:

• Development of scopes for freshwater and terrestrial assessment and fauna survey at a preliminary and detailed level.
• Oversee and support the ecological site assessments undertaken by junior staff.
• Evaluation of ecological data, comparison with relevant standards or reference guidelines and interpretation of results.
• Development and implementation of remedial strategies.
• Provision of ecological advice in relation to statutory requirements.
• Preparation and review of technical reporting.
• Preparation of Ecological Monitoring and Management Plans.
• Obtain new and repeat business through maintaining and developing internal and external client relationships.
