The Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (New Zealand Chapter) invites you to meet Dr Judith Roper-Lindsay (editor) and Dr Ian Boothroyd (President, EIANZ New Zealand Chapter).
The EIANZ has recently published “EcIA Guidelines for use in New Zealand” to improve the consistency and quality of impact assessment in consent processes and policy development.
In a series of meetings across the country Judith and Ian will introduce the recently-published Guidelines through their application to local projects, and lead discussion on the role of the professional ecologist in environmental planning and management. The discussion will be important for anyone involved in planning and decision-making for terrestrial and freshwater biodiversity in the Region.
This is a the first event in a national series - dates and venues for other sessions will be announced soon.
