NSW | Waste Management and Circular Economy in Sydney's West

EIANZ NSW Division is excited to bring you an event spotlighting the outstanding waste management practices taking place in Sydney’s west.

The event will explore:

  • Penrith City Council’s success in Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) management;
  • Strategies being adopted across western Sydney on litter prevention and waste management; and
  • Plans for the Bradfield City Centre, at the new Western Sydney International Airport, which is being built around sustainability and circular economy principles.

Learn how the delivery of best practice residential waste collection services are empowering local communities to make better choices around waste, and how these strategies align with the planning system and development application (DA) process.

Hear firsthand from industry leaders and organisations that are driving the momentum for improvements in Western Sydney's waste streams, including the following lineup of speakers for this event:

  • Mike Ritchie, Managing Director of MRA Consulting Group

  • Natalie Stewart, Resource Recovery and Waste Planning Officer, Campbelltown City Council
  • Wendy Xing, Regional Waste Coordinator, Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils
  • Lucy Sharman, Director Sustainability at Western Parkland City Authority
