The Contaminated Land Special Interest Section (Contaminated Land SIS) aims to develop and promote knowledge of this specialised area of environmental practice and advance the professional standing and recognition of land contamination practitioners.

The Contaminated Land SIS draws on the expertise of EIANZ members and Certified Environmental Practitioners to promote dialogue around current and emerging trends, as well as issues and challenges in the land contamination sector.

In 2014, Site Contamination was included as a specialist certification category in the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme.

Please note: With the continued growth of Site Contamination under the Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) Scheme, we have paused this Special Interest Section to focus the Institute’s efforts on increasing certification in this area of practice.
