EIANZ has proudly been my professional home since 1996. I now have time and energy to invest in the EIANZ Board, underpinned by extensive experience on the EIANZ NSW Division and Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) Program committees, as well governance and financial literacy skills.
Currently I am a member of the EIANZ Board Ethics Sub-Committee, and the Chair of CEnvP’s Specialist Environmental Advisory Committee – Impact Assessment (SEAC-IA). I am still actively involved with the NSW Division Committee supporting the current executive with corporate knowledge as a former NSW Division President, facilitating the L2A Climate Change professional development series, and advocating for the recognition of certified impact assessment practitioners to be recognised by the NSW Government. The latter has culminated in CENvP-IA being recognised as an accredited scheme in July 2021.
I am passionate about supporting continuing professional development, consolidating governance practices, and promoting the Institute to external stakeholders. I would draw on my expertise as a consulting environmental scientist, excellent communicator, and my large professional network to support these goals on the EIANZ Board.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
