The EIANZ Board has adopted changes to Institute’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (Code) to recognise Indigenous knowledge, values, and rights. The proposed changes were initially developed by the Institute’s Indigenous Engagement Working Group and refined to reflect the substantial feedback received from members and CEnvPs over the past several months through surveys and facilitated workshops. The Board is now seeking ratification from members of the Code changes through their endorsement at a Special General Meeting on 26 May 2021.
The purpose of the Special General Meeting is to consider a resolution to ratify amendments to the EIANZ Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct that have been endorsed by the EIANZ Board. Detailed information on the amendments is provided in the links below.
