EIANZ has organised several webinars and sessions to celebrate the rich history of Victoria’s First Nations peoples.
We would like to invite you to tour Birrarung Wilam (Yarra River Camp) and experience the history and art installations of the Aboriginal peoples of the Kulin Nation. We have partnered with the Koorie Heritage Trust to bring you this walk, which is an opportunity to discover the significance of Birrarung Wilam and how this significance can be carried into the future.
The Koorie Heritage Trust motto encapsulates the spirit of this event well: “GNOKAN DANNA MURRA KOR-KI" which means “Give me your hand my friend” (in a combination of Gunditjmara and Yorta Yorta languages).
We are sure you will learn a lot more during the walk! Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the tour and be sure you are wearing comfortable walking shoes and have a water bottle with you
