The WA Division of EIANZ invites you to join us in celebrating the year with networking, drinks and nibbles. All welcome.
Guest speakers for the evening are Prof. Stephen Van Leeuwen and representatives from ARC Training Centre for Healing Country at Curtin University.
Come along and hear about how the centre is providing training pathways and opportunities for Indigenous Australians to pursue careers in restoration industries and businesses, using the two-way right way learning approach. The aim is to deliver cost-effective restoration solutions that buttress customary activities, traditional practices, and Indigenous commercial enterprises.
The ARC Training Centre for Healing Country builds a robust science-business interface that links Indigenous Australians to vibrant and resilient businesses in revegetation of damaged lands. This helps to reconnect communities with healthy landscapes, creating ongoing financial independence through the carbon economy, honey production, seed supply, cultural species development and restoration services.
The event is being held at the Western Australian Rowing Club, located about 150m east of Barrack Square. There is limited street parking; the nearest large carpark is the CPP Terrace Road carpark. Please be aware that the Club is a heritage-listed building, and access to the function room is via stairs; there is no lift access.
