DEMIRS has proposed a new, streamlined process called the Mining Development and Closure Proposal (MDCP). This new application process replaces the need for separate Mining Proposals and Mine Closure Plans. A draft MDCP guideline has been produced to delineate the content requirements for MDCP applications. This draft guideline is currently open for consultation.

EIANZ WA Division has invited DEMIRS to run through the draft Mining Development and Small Operations MDCP Proforma for EIANZ members and non-members. Come along to this insightful session to learn how this would affect projects for you, your clients and the industry.

There will be an opportunity to contribute to an EIANZ submission to DEMIRS before the closing date on 13 May 2024.
