EIANZ invites you to a webinar on: Environmental and mining regulatory reform in the Northern Territory - draft legislation

The Northern Territory government is continuing their reform program of the NT’s environmental legislation. Join our speakers, Kathleen Davis and Brett Easton from the environment and mining departments as they outline the proposed changes to the NT’s environmental regulation of mining activities. These reforms will result in the transfer of responsibility for regulating mining activities from the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT) to the Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security (DEPWS), and involves amendments to the Environment Protection Act 2019, and the repeal of the Mining Management Act 2001.

This webinar is relevant to anyone working in environmental approvals and particularly mining in the NT. There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the presentation. This event will run off Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and a recording will be provided to all registered delegates after the webinar.
