The Role

We are looking for a Manager to lead our Hazmat Section. Due to growth, the current Manager is moving into a different role within the company and we are looking for a dynamic and energetic person, with fantastic administrative skills, a science background and great leadership abilities to work with and mentor our friendly, positive and dynamic team.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits to experienced professionals with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role. Applicants would ideally hold, an ACT Asbestos Assessors licence, or be willing to complete on the job intensive training in order to obtain one. As the Manager of our Hazmat team the role would include:

  • Manage team of staff in Hazmat Section
  • Guide and direct our team of 12
  • Assign works to staff and follow up with progress
  • Identify training requirements for reports to ensure constant improvement
  • Manage key client accounts and build relationships with contacts
  • Manage Section budget
  • Manage personal and team performance against budget targets
  • Manage sales revenue performance of the Section
  • Pursue growth opportunities by identifying and securing new contracts 
  • Undertake specific report writing work as required to meet client needs and expectations 
  • Asbestos & hazmat site surveys and reporting for domestic, government, commercial & industrial sites
  • Asbestos management plans
  • Air monitoring
  • Clearance inspections
  • Consultancy
  • Project Management

Consideration will be given to a re-location allowance for interstate applicants.

 

Essential

Applicants must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or another suitable discipline
  • Staff/team Management Experience

Desirable 

  • Experienced Asbestos Assessor or fully conversant with asbestos air monitoring and/or laboratory identification.

As the Section Manager you will be expected to liaise with clients, offer mentorship to junior assessors and take an active role in maintaining Robson's high level of performance, quality, and safety.

Applicants must reside in Australia and hold residency.
