About the role:

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Environmental Scientist to join the high-performing and collaborative Environment and Heritage Services team. You will be responsible for assessing environmental impacts and securing approvals along the asset value chain, with predominant focus on asset creation business priorities. Your professional expertise will also support strategic and operational business needs.

About you:

· Approximately 7 years’ relevant industry experience, with proven experience in environmental planning, environmental impact assessment and environmental approvals for infrastructure assets

· Tertiary qualifications in environmental science / environmental management (or other relevant discipline)

· Applied knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and current environmental issues

· Experience delivering environmental assessments and approvals considering risk, cost and performance drivers

· Understanding and experience with major water utility or similar

· Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders

· Highly effective oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
