Social Performance Consultant – Brisbane

ERM is seeking motivated Consultant to join our Social Performance team in Brisbane. You will be part of a dynamic technical team responsible for consulting on Social Performance and Sustainability matters, while networking with ERM's global Social Performance Technical Community to share best practices across the industry.

This is an opportunity for a Social Performance professional to advance their career to the next level with a global leader in sustainability, and to make a significant impact in successfully implementing ERM's global strategy.

Ideal candidates will bring prior consulting experience in the oil and gas, mining, and/or power (renewables) sectors, in order to bring a base level of technical understanding to the role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality control for data collection, management, and analysis.
• Collaborate with other ERM national and global practitioners via working in teams composed of multi-disciplinary professionals from multiple offices around the global ERM organisation.
• Deepen existing skill sets including technical skills, project experience, and general consulting and decision-making skills.
• Contribute to proposal development, including development of technical scopes and cost estimates in accordance with ERM’s policies and processes.
• Liaise with various stakeholders, including State/Local Governments and community groups.
• Work with other global ERM resources to develop relationships with ERM key clients to expand ERM’s profile through a combination of excellence in technical delivery and business development support.
   

Requirements:

• A recognised Bachelor degree in social science, town planning, or related discipline; professional registration would be an asset.
• 1-2 years demonstrable Consulting experience.
• Experience working as part of an integrated team to develop socio-economic baselines, social impact assessments, or other related scopes of work.
• Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
• Relationship building skills with colleagues and clients.
