Robson Environmental, established in 1990, is a Canberra based environmental consultancy with a multi-disciplinary team covering asbestos and hazmat, environmental assessment & remediation, occupational hygiene, workplace safety, NATA accredited laboratories and a training facility. As one of the longest established Canberra based Asbestos Consultancy, we are experiencing unprecedented growth and are looking for a person to be trained as an Hazmat Consultant (Asbestos/Lead Assessor). During the paid training period of 12-24 months the successful candidate will receive expert mentorship and both internal and external training to achieve an Asbestos Assessor's license with nationally and internationally recognised qualifications. While this is an entry level (Graduate) position the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop the skills and experience to become a well paid professional in a highly sought after field.
This role would suit someone who enjoys highly varied work as part of a well-supported team. Robson Environmental is a workplace which values quality, and we pride ourselves on providing solution-oriented assessments and advice to our clients. Asbestos Assessors survey the built environment to identify, quantify and risk assess asbestos and other hazardous building materials. Detailed reports are produced from site notes and laboratory analysis of samples. Air monitoring, supervision and clearance inspections during asbestos removal are essential parts of the Assessor's role. Trainee Assessors must demonstrate significant experience in all aspects of the role prior to being granted an Asbestos Assessor licence.
