Simon is considered a doyen of the environment industry, having been a pioneer in early EMS work and environmental risk and compliance auditing. He began life as a teacher before finding his calling and working as a Regulator within the EPA Victoria within the noise control and then licensing branches. He broadened his skills by entering the water and waste-water industry, initially in Western Australia before moving back to the eastern states. Simon then set his mind to consulting, working as a Senior Environment Scientist for over 25 years within such industries as: manufacturing, mining, agriculture, timber, construction, recycled water and State government. His achievements in the industry were recognised when he received the 2011Certified Environmental Practitioner of the Year award. His involvement with EIANZ committee work stems back over 30 years. He is a welldeserving Fellow.
