The Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand congratulates the ACT Office of the Commissioner for Sustainability and the Environment for its seventh State of the Environment Report.
Mark Williamson, President of the ACT Division, said, “The 2015 report confirms that Canberra and its community are managing the environment in a sustainable manner and that all other states and territories in Australia need to look at what is happening in the nation’s capital.”
Mr Williamson also noted the initiative taken by the Commissioner for Sustainability and the Environment who encouraged local registered environmental professional and certified environmental practitioners based in Canberra to be part of the report’s review process, thereby ensuring the robustness and integral quality of the ACT State of the Environment Report for 2015. The ACT Division of the EIANZ appreciated the opportunity to assist the Commissioner with arranging this peer review process.
