Following an extensive consultation process, changes to the EIANZ Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (Code) to recognise Indigenous knowledge, values and rights have now taken effect.
As part of the Code changes, environmental practitioners acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
Our recently updated resources contain useful information to help members and CEnvPs raise awareness and build practitioner capacity around Indigenous knowledge, values and rights.
For further information visit the Code of Ethics page on our website.
