We are currently inviting expressions of interest for the position of Ecology Special Interest Section Chair.
Special Interest Sections are Institute-wide groups that bring together members with a shared area of interest. These groups work towards improving environmental practice through information sharing, the development of guidance documents, seminars, workshops, and other activities. Special Interest Sections generally focus on emerging opportunities or issues that require a dedicated focus over a period of time rather than ongoing committee business.
By-law 15 of the Institute states that the appointment of a Special Interest Section Chair is for a term of two years and is done in an “open and transparent process that engages the members of the Institute”. In accordance with this, we invite EIANZ members and CEnvPs to apply for this position via the link below. The application process involves completing a form, providing your CV and a brief statement that outlines the skills and experience you can bring to the role.
Expressions of interest close Friday 1 July.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
