EIANZ is pleased to share that the Institute has been invited to DCCEEW’s second round of consultation on Australia’s new environment laws. Our representatives in this important process are Carolyn Cameron FEIANZ and Ailsa Kerswell MEIANZ.
Earlier this year Carolyn and Ailsa participated in the first round of invitation-only consultation. They have since prepared a submission, endorsed by the Board, which outlines their feedback on the initial reform material. If members would like to share feedback on EIANZ’s submission, we encourage you to email us at office@eianz.org.

The EPBC Act reforms are informed by the Samuel Review and the government’s subsequent Nature Positive Plan. The new laws will have a range of functions including establishing National Environmental Standards and a new Environment Protection Australia agency.
Keep an eye out for updates as the reform consultation process continues.
