This new member service by the Institute is an extension of our Code of Ethics that all members ascribe to, and which forms the backbone of our collective reputation. This service is designed to provide advice to members who find themselves in challenging or complex situations and improve their capacity to manage and prevent ethical challenges in their work.
The Hotline will be extended with equal access to members of all Chapters, including New Zealand, via both phone and E-mail. The service will be run by Ethilogical, a professional ethics consultancy, employing a high degree of security and anonymity to ensure that members can trust that the Hotline will always be working in their interests.
The service and advice is confidential and can be used for a variety of ethical challenges such as conflicts of interest, watering down of recommendations, interpreting professional Codes of Conduct, and interpersonal conflict which affects their ability to fulfill their duties effectively.
To access the service:
New Zealand: +64 3669 4842
Australia: +613 8593 9698
No personal details need be disclosed, and any missed calls will be responded to within 8 hours.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
