Are you interested in the nature and standard of education of the environment profession? The term of the current Qualifications Accreditation Board is coming to an end.
The EIANZ Qualifications Accreditation Scheme accredits university qualifications in environmental science and environmental management. The scope of the Scheme covers qualifications in these areas. Qualifications in these disciplines are not the only entry pathway to the environment profession. They are, however, a useful beginning point for the Qualifications Accreditation Scheme.
We are now seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for membership of the Qualifications Accreditation Board. This Board directs and manages the Scheme. The Board comprises five to seven members, with the majority being EIANZ voting members and at least one being a Certified Environmental Practitioner. It must have a fair representation of genders and a diversity of representation with respect to areas of environmental practice, experience in university course design and delivery, and geographic locations.
If you'd like to be involved in this important contribution to the environment profession, please submit your EOI by close of business Friday 24 February 2023.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
