Expressions of interest are now open for members of the Certification Board – these EOIs are closing on 31 October 2023, with two expected vacancies commencing in January and June 2024 respectively.
The Certified Environmental Practitioner scheme is a flagship initiative delivered by the Institute, which is increasing in recognition by governments, practitioners and the sector.
The EIANZ Board is responsible for appointing suitably qualified and experienced persons to the Certification Board. We seek a diversity of skills, geographies and areas of practice when making these appointments to the certification board, which makes decisions independently of the EIANZ Board regarding certification of applicants under the scheme.
The general administration of the certification scheme is guided by EIANZ By-law 16, which is currently under review.

We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
