Improving the budget and funding of national protected areas
The United Nations Development Programme recently launched a Guide to Improving the Budget and Funding of National Protected Area Systems. The guide aims to help protected area authorities negotiate and secure increased annual budges for their protected area systems.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
