Following recent changes to our Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, the EIANZ has prepared a guidance note for environmental practitioners to help them promote and incorporate Indigenous knowledge, values, and rights in their work. This document provides practical guidance and supports our recent position statement on Indigenous Peoples' Knowledge and Engagement.
As an association for environmental practitioners, we seek to foster and support an inclusive profession that understands the importance of including Indigenous Peoples’ diversity, culture, knowledge, history, and protocols in environmental practice.

We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
