Principal Environmental Specialist with NZ Transport Agency
Highways and Network Operations, Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch
The NZ Transport Agency shapes New Zealand’s transport networks and people’s safe and efficient use of them. Working with others, the NZ Transport Agency invest NZ $3 billion a year to make sure that however you travel - by car, bus, bike or train - you get there safely and on time
Building, maintaining and operating a safe, reliable and resilient state highway network is the top priority for our Highways and Network Operations group. Everything they do is aimed at delivering a better, safer customer experience.
This role exists to allow the national Environment and Urban Design team to provide transport-related environmental and social responsibility technical services to the Highways and Network Operation Group and the wider Transport Agency. The focus of the role is to provide technical, relationship management and strategic leadership, enabling the Transport Agency to deliver organisational goals, legal compliance and policy commitments in this outcome area.
