We are delighted to announce our 2024 EIANZ Merit Award winners!
The Institute's Merit Awards recognise members and practitioners who have made an outstanding contribution to the Institute and the environment profession. Our 2024 winners were presented with their awards during our Annual Conference Networking Evening last week in Sydney.
Thank you and congratulations to this year's winners and finalists:
Simon Molesworth Award
This is highest award bestowed by the Institute and recognises outstanding service to the Institute at an Institute level by an EIANZ member.
Winner: Rod Welford FEIANZ
Mary Lou Morris Award
This award recognises an EIANZ member who has provided outstanding service to the Institute at a Divisional, Chapter, Special Interest Section or Committee level.
Winner: Andrew Morison FEIANZ
Finalists: Bronwyn Dwyer MEIANZ and Robbie Johns MEIANZ
Tor Hundloe Award
This award recognises outstanding contributions to the environment profession by a young professional EIANZ member.
Winner: Travis Ng
Excellence in Environmental Practice Award
This award recognises outstanding practice by an individual EIANZ member or non-member and is intended to be an exemplar for all environmental practitioners.
Winner: Jack Krohn FEIANZ
Finalist: Lauren Cromarty MEIANZ
Eric Anderson Award
This award is for the best article published in the Australasian Journal of Environmental Management during the year and is decided by the Journal editors.
Winners: Mr. Abdulrasheed Zakari, Dr. Irfan Khan, Assoc. Prof. Rafael Alvarado and Dr. Ibtissem Missaoui for their article, ‘The Impact of Renewable Energy Rebates on Environmental Sustainability in Australia’, Australasian Journal of Environmental Management, 31:1, pp. 108-125.
CEnvP Scheme Service Award
This award celebrates the outstanding volunteer contribution an individual has made to the values, success, and development of the Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) Scheme in the areas of initiative, positive leadership, reliability, and technical values.
