Victorian Climate Change Act review
In July this year, the Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water, the Hon Lisa Neville MP, established an Independent Review Committee to review the Victorian Climate Change Act 2010.
The Review Committee examined the effectiveness of the Climate Change Act in achieving its stated purpose and to identify options to improve the Act and community and industry feedback was sought.
The EIANZ Victorian Committee requested members feedback on this review and as a result of this feedback, submitted a response to the review.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
