The NZ Chapter is seeking a volunteer(s) for the role of Editor(s) of the Chapter newsletter, 'Stepping Up'. This e-bulletin is a significant information conduit for the members around the country and the Editor’s role is to bring it all together- sourcing newsworthy items of relevance to the membership and the objectives of the Institute- for publication once per month.
The Editor role requires a person(s) who can bring good attention to detail, has a strong command of English language and grammar, the ability to work independently and remotely, and work to deadlines. The role can be shared between two or more people. As for all Chapter Executive roles, the Editor role is a voluntary position and comes with support from the Central Office of the Institute and the NZ Executive. The outgoing editor will provide support in the initial period. The role can be performed from anywhere with an internet connection and the approximate time commitment is 2 hours per week.
The NZ Chapter newsletter is a valuable source of local environmental news to our members but it is dependent on volunteer effort to make it happen. If you have a thirst for sharing environmental information and would like to know more about how you can contribute to your Institute please contact: Taryn Pearce, Secretary of the New Zealand Chapter.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
