WA | Environmental Practitioners Symposium

We are delighted to announce the biennial Environmental Practitioners Symposium, set for 13 September 2024, organised jointly by EIANZ and the Environmental Practitioners Network WA.

The 2024 Environmental Practitioners Symposium aims to showcase practical applications of the environmental, heritage and community disciplines. It is designed to deliver information from all aspects of the environmental industry, bringing together perspectives from the public sector, private industry and non-governmental organisations. With a focus on delivering valuable and practical insights, symposium attendees will come away with actionable ideas and perspectives to apply to their work, business or community.

To tackle some of the current concerns within the sector, the Symposium seeks to address four themes:

  • Enhancing Assessment Timeframes,
  • Biodiversity,
  • Integrating Indigenous Knowledge, and
  • Restoration versus Rehabilitation.

We are delighted to announce the symposium’s speakers:

  • Lee McIntosh | Acting Chair, WA Environmental Protection Authority
  • Stuart Smith | Director General, Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions
  • Keith Bradby OAM | Chief Executive Officer, Gondwana Link
  • Emma Molloy | Principal Environmental Consultant, Umwelt
  • Harriet Mills | Terrestrial Zoologist, Perth Zoo Science
  • Juliett Seers | Training and Outreach Coordinator, Atlas of Living Australia
