Fellowship is a form of recognition bestowed by the Institute on a current Full Member who has been a senior practitioner of influence in the environmental profession over a period of at least 10 years, in accordance with EIANZ By-law 9.
Fellowship nominations are open year-round, with a deadline of 31 March for consideration in that calendar year. New Fellows will be appointed once per calendar year.
Members are encouraged to nominate their peers for Fellowship at any time during the year.

Honorary Fellowship is a form of recognition bestowed by the Institute on a person, not necessarily a member of the Institute, who has achieved the high standards of seniority and professional contribution required of an EIANZ Fellow.

We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
